Educated at two of Canada’s most prestigious universities, the University of Toronto and the University of Ottawa in Ontario, where he spent almost fourty years of his adult and professional lives developing and acquiring an eclectic expertise in the fields of Human Resources Management, Management (HRM) and Entrepreneurship, Ibrahim is today the Managing Director and Principal Consultant of his own consulting firm, Apex International Management Consultants Ltd (AIM Consultants Ltd) , operating both in Canada and Mauritius. He has been a Consultant for the past fifteen years working with and advising both Canadian and Mauritian companies and institutions in his fields of endeavour. He is also a Senior University Lecturer where his work, dedication and high degree of originality and professionalism are well appreciated and respected. Ibrahim has had a varied, inspiring and enriching career that promoted him successively to more demanding and responsible positions including Manager in HRM, Vice-President of the Canadian Compensation Association, Special Advisor to the American Public Transportation Association and Manager of Special Projects for the City of Ottawa, Canada. Ibrahim has organized and participated in a number of conferences in cities across both the United States and Canada where he has also conducted high level training for professionals and management staff.

Over a successful and most fulfilling career that has its epitome when he was nominated in 2001 for the HRM Vision Awards as the Most Outstanding HR Professional and also for Outstanding Contribution to the Field of HRM, Ibrahim has had the opportunities to demonstrate his exceptional knowledge, understanding, appreciation and vision for his fields of expertise by his creative and innovative approach in the design, development, production and successful delivery of a number of critical accomplishments related to HRM. He is not only the designer, developer and creator of several Job Evaluation and Classification Systems, a Performance Management System and a pioneering Interviewing Technique which he has fittingly named Competency-Based Interviewing (CBI), he was also responsible for their respective implementation on a company-wide basis. Ibrahim has trained and certified a number of Managers, Directors and HRM Officers in the use of his CBI Technique, which has been described as the most objective, accurate and legally defensible interviewing methodology by its users in Canada.

As a Management Consultant, Ibrahim has worked for several major companies both in Mauritius and Canada. He has conducted Operational Audits, Feasibility Studies, Market Researches, Training Needs Analyses as well as designed, developed, produced and delivered courses on a multitude of topics to hundreds of delegates. His repertoire of courses is so wide and varied that it would take several pages to list them all. Suffice it to say that they include approved courses on all facets of HRM, Management, Entrepreneurship and Business related topics such as Time Management, Ethics, Assertiveness, Emotional Intelligence, Marketing, Customer Care, Decision Making, Performance Management, etc. It is worth noting that AIM Consultants Ltd, his own Consulting Company, won a national tender to design, develop, produce and install a Performance Management System for a major Parastatal body of some 2100 employees. Ibrahim did the work from conception to delivery, including the training of some 120 Managers, Directors, Supervisors and Union Executives.

Over the past several years, Ibrahim has firmly established himself not only as a highly competent and eclectic Management Consultant but also as an outstanding innovative Trainer who has won the accolades and respect not only of all those who have hired him, but most importantly of all the delegates with whom he has woven a very special bond. Ibrahim believes implicitly that People are the most critical Asset of any organisation and that they hold in their credentials, sense of belonging and performance its future. He is convinced that his work can contribute significantly to the success of any business entity, and that its Human Capital is the Key to a brighter tomorrow.
